2009-2010 Youth Groups Calendar
Announcements Forms 2009-2010

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Our field trip to the Baker Katz nursing home has been re-scheduled to Thursday, Dec. 10. Times are the same, but carpool arrangements will be different. Please check your e-mail for the latest.
Please tell your children I was sorry to have had to re-schedule. But given the amount of snowfall, the road conditions, the rain that has moved in,  and the upcoming wind and freezing conditions, it seemed the best thing to do. Please leave any cookies you have made at the school or Atkinson Congregational Church tomorrow and we will take them over with us, along with the ornaments, candies, etc. --- Karen McLain

Youth Groups at Atkinson Congregational Church offer fellowship and service opportunities for youth in 3rd grade through high school. We have games, parties, field trips, special speakers and service projects.

C.O.O.L. (Children of Our Lord) for 3rd through 5th graders typically meets twice a month on Wednesdays after school. Some of the things we have planned for this year include a collection drive for the Emmaus homeless shelters (through Oct. 11), making a craft for nursing home residents, making gifts for shut-ins, games, a hiking scavenger hunt, a trip to Petco, sharing our pets, a beach party, painting bird houses, and either bowling, mini-golf or skating.

Y.E.S. (Young Energetic Servants) for Middle School and High School typically meets one Sunday a month from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at the church. We do some of the same projects as COOL, but also wrap Christmas presents for Operation Christmas Child, help out with serving at church dinners, hold a 24-hour anti-hunger drive to do things to combat hunger locally.

All of our youth groups are free. For more information contact CEDirector@atkinsoncc.org
