The purpose of Christian Education at the Atkinson Congregational Church is to provide educational opportunities and resources for all ages to grow in their faith to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and the love of God.
Christian Education is for all ages! Here is a sampling of what is offered at ACC:

Church School: at 10:15 a.m. on Sundays through June 13 for pre-school through middle school, and for high school students twice a month. Interactive lessons include crafts and games. Students also presented an annual Christmas pageant and Holy Easter Walk, and will take a leadership role in the worship service on Children’s Sunday on June 6. Church school starts when children are dismissed from the church worship service following the children’s sermon.
Summer Worship: In July and August children meet at Tuthill House during the 9 a.m. worship service to help tell stories, play games and make cool crafts. We hope you will join us. Wear shorts and come prepared to have fun!
Nursery: for infants through 3 years old during the 10 a.m. worship service on Sundays. We have games, books, toys, coloring, music and Christian videos for the children, as well as a changing area. A speaker system lets parents and teachers in the room listen to the worship service.
1st Communion Program: for interested younger and older children who want to learn more about the importance and meaning of the sacrament of Holy Communion. The class will take part in receiving Holy Communion with their newfound understanding of the sacrament on June 6.
Acolyte Program: to enable children to participate in the worship service by lighting candles at the start of the service.
Confirmation: for high school students who want to explore the promises made by their parents at baptism and journey toward claiming those promises as their own.
Youth Groups: 3rd grade through high school: fellowship, mission, service and retreat opportunities for youth. See Youth Groups page.
